Staci Berryman

MS Ed, BCBA | Co-Founder | Executive Director

Staci Berryman is a co-founder and Executive Director of the Emerald Coast Autism Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Butler University in 1992. After graduation she accepted a position as an elementary school teacher in Houston, Texas. In 2004, Staci accepted a lead teacher position for the Special Services Department at Rocky Bayou Christian School, where her work in special education sparked a strong professional interest in children with autism. As a result, Staci decided to pursue a career as a BCBA, and earned her Master’s degree in Special Education with Grand Canyon University in 2007. Immediately afterward, she enrolled in the Behavior Analysis Program at Penn State University, earning her credentials as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in early 2009.

Heidi Blalock

CFA | Co-Founder | CEO | Treasurer

Heidi is a co-founder and the CEO and Treasurer of Emerald Coast Autism Center, as well as the proud parent of an ECAC student. Heidi spent seven years with Mercer Investment Consulting in Chicago. She was a Principal with Mercer and headed the US Performance and Reporting Division. Prior to this role, she spent two years working in the mergers and acquisitions division of Sara Lee Corporation. Heidi received a Bachelor degree in economics from Duke University and a Masters in Business Administration in finance and international business from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Tonya Holt

Office Manager

Tonya graduated from University of West Florida with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. She previously worked with the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa for fourteen years in Human Resources as the Payroll Manager. Tonya joined the team at Emerald Coast Autism Center in 2017.

Megan Bausch

BCBA | Supervisor

Megan is a 2007 graduate of the University of Florida, with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and a minor in Family, Youth, and Community Services. In 2009, Megan completed a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University, and passed her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) coursework and certification testing. Megan has been providing one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services since 2007, and has worked as a Clinical Supervisor since 2009. Megan joined the ECAC team in 2012.

Lauren Cooper

Digital Media Manager

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University. Upon moving to the area, she began a career in the vacation resort market. While working at Sandpiper Cove, Lauren implemented strategic social media campaigns to increase revenue and occupancy. Lauren has also served as a Kindergarten through 5th grade paraprofessional supporting instructional activities, learner engagement, and classroom management. Lauren joined the ECAC team in 2017.

Haley Shelton

Events Coordinator

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida in 2013, Haley began working for Emerald Coast Autism Center as an RBT as well as a speech language pathology assistant. Haley worked for seven years providing one to one therapy for children on the autism spectrum and learning from the incredible BCBAs and BCaBAs on staff. This experience has been rewarding in so many ways and has instilled a passion in her to continue to serve these incredible children. Haley was recently hired on for a new position at Emerald Coast Autism Center as their Community Relations Coordinator.
