Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from South University. In 2014, she graduated from Liberty University earning a Master of Arts degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling. Previously, she worked as a behavior therapist at The Educational Center for Autism in Shreveport, Louisiana. She joined the Emerald Coast Autism Center team in 2013 as a behavior therapist later transitioning into a supervisor position after completing the necessary coursework required to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification exam. Heather passed her certification exam in 2016.
Lead Therapist│Safety Coordinator
Rob is a 2005 graduate of University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is currently working towards a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in autism, at Ball State University. He plans to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) examination upon completion of this program. Rob began volunteering at Emerald Coast Autism Center in 2010, becoming a full-time member of staff, in a Lead Teacher position, in 2013. Rob is CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross, as well as “Trainer” certified through The Crisis Prevention Institute (Non-Violent Crisis Prevention), which allows him to train ECAC’S staff in safety management.
Haley is a 2013 graduate of University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her undergraduate work, Haley completed an internship working with individuals in the early stages of Dementia. She also was an active member of the University of Central Florida chapter of NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association). She has been a member of the Emerald Coast Autism Center Staff since 2014, working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist, and Behavior Therapist. In the future, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Behavior Therapist│Media Specialist
Lindsey is a 2013, magna cum laude, graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Media Production. While in college, she was a producer for Florida State University’s in-house production company, Seminole Productions. She produced Florida State University live events for FSU & ESPN3 and television shows for Tennis Channel & Fox Sports.While simultaneously working as a behavior therapist, she also captures notable moments at Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) as photographer. In addition to photography, she does videography work for ECAC and assists in managing the website.
Behavior Therapist│Shark Tank Teacher
Lindsey is a May 2007 graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education with a K-9 reading endorsement. Before moving to Florida, Lindsey was a special education teaching assistant at Steck Elementary School in Naperville, IL. Lindsey began working at the Emerald Coast Autism Center in 2011, leading the Shark Tank, teaching a personalized curriculum for each of our shark-tank students. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with an endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder at Michigan State University. Following graduation Lindsey plans to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification examination.
Rachel is a 2015 graduate from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences- Children an Society. She has an older brother on the autism spectrum and she has always known that she wanted to work with those with special needs. In 2013, Rachel conducted a summer social skills group for children and young adults with autism as a part of her high school senior project. Rachel has been a Behavior Therapist at ECAC since August 2015.
Aabett is a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2015, Aabett earned a Master's Degree in Psychology with a focus in Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, Aabett is pursuing a PhD in Advance Human Behavior as well as completing coursework towards a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification (BCBA), at Capella University.
Stephanie is a 2004 graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. In 2011, Stephanie joined Emerald Coast Autism Center to provide support for recent ECAC graduates as they trasition into a typical classroom. In the future, Stephanie hopes to begin coursework towards a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.
