Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) is excited to announce the expansion of services to help more children in our community. ECAC is starting a new classroom, called Emerald Coast Learning Center (ECLC), for students with Asperger’s Syndrome, high-functioning autism, ADD, ADHD, or related disabilities. An autism diagnosis is not required. The new program is designed for students who do not engage in problem behaviors but would greatly benefit from a small student-to-teacher ratio. It is anticipated the classroom will have a 6:1 student-teacher ratio. Grade levels will be determined by student enrollment, but kindergarten through grade one will be the class’ starting point. The program is McKay and/or tuition-based.
