    RESCHEDULED: 15th Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction Weekend

    August 21-22, 2020

    Founded in 2005, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) has donated $21 Million to Northwest Florida charities through hosting world class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of over 100,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. DCWAF has been recognized as one of the Nation’s ‘Top 10 Charity Wine Auction in the U.S.’ by Wine Spectator Magazine for the last seven consecutive years. 



    Our team has been hard at work giving the 15th Anniversary Auction a makeover that adheres to social distancing guidelines. We are excited to share our new live auction format and look forward to celebrating 15 years of philanthropy with you this August.

    Patron Dinner - Friday, August 21 | 6 PM 

    Some of the most exquisite homes and restaurants on the Emerald Coast set the stage for the 2020 Patron Dinners. Each Patron Dinner will feature a nationally recognized chef paired with world-class celebrity vintners. The dinners provide a unique opportunity to interact with fellow wine enthusiasts while enjoying innovative cuisine and the world’s best wines. As patrons, you will also enjoy complimentary transportation to and from your dinner. Each dinner will benefit one of our 16 charities and allow a chance to see firsthand how your generosity is changing the lives of children in need within our community.

    Reserve Tasting & Live Auction - Saturday, August 22 | 12 PM 


    In an effort to ensure that our guests feel comfortable gathering together while practicing appropriate social distancing, we will not be holding the auction under one tent as we have in the past. Instead, we will be pairing patron dinner groups together and hosting five, smaller auction parties simultaneously across the Emerald Coast. DCWAF will broadcast the auction live into each party, where a fully staffed bidding team will be available to ensure that all bids from their party are communicated to the auctioneer. A live feed of each location will also be broadcast back to our studio so that regardless of who wins each lot, all guests across parties can join in the celebration.

    The auction will begin at noon with a reserve wine reception. Live auction programming paired with a catered lunch will begin promptly at 1pm. A large selection of virtual lots featuring rare wines, trips, and experiences will also be available for mobile bidding through our online platform, Greater Giving. We have given a lot of attention to the lots we are featuring this year, and have made major revisions to our offerings to ensure they fit the preferences and comfort levels of our bidders.

    Wine Auction FAQs

    Why did DCWAF decide to postpone the Wine Auction?

    Choosing to postpone the auction to August 21-22, 2020 was a hard decision, but we’ve been monitoring the covid-19 developments around the country for the past couple of weeks. Guests and vintners travel from across the country to attend the Wine Auction. We feel we have a responsibility to consider the wellbeing of our traveling guests and how their attendance could impact the local community.  

    Why did you decide on August?

    We have rescheduled our 2020 auction weekend for August 21st and 22nd, 2020. These dates fall after the summer season for the Destin/South Walton area and are far enough removed from what is expected to be the peak of the virus, therefore travel and gathering together should no longer be of concern. These dates are before harvest and crush giving our vintners the best opportunity to attend the auction. Finally, these dates fall before our typical funding schedules for our charity partners and should allow us to distribute funds to them close to our normal schedule.  

    What should I do about my flight, hotel reservations?

    Check with your air carrier to inquire about waived change fees related to covid-19. Delta Airlines has no change fees for customers scheduled to fly between March 1 – April 30, 2020. Additionally, most hotels allow rooms to be canceled with no penalty a certain number of days before check in. Please call your hotel and air carrier immediately to address changes in travel.  

    What if I can’t attend in August?

    Please note, refunds will not be available after July 22 barring any extenuating circumstances. Donation receipts may be made available following this deadline on a discretionary basis
