Yes! ECAC accepts many major insurance plans for ABA Therapy, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Aetna, and Tricare. ECAC is not a Medicaid provider.
ABA Therapy is based on the science of behavior and is considered evidence-based treatment for individuals on the autism spectrum. Specifically, ECAC follows the Verbal Behavior (VB) approach to ABA, based on B.F. Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior. ABA intervention is conducted in a one-to-one child-to-behavior technician ratio and focuses primarily on increasing communication and social skills, while decreasing problematic behaviors.
According to the CDC, the current autism prevalence rate is 1 in every 36 children.
The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FESUA), through the Florida Department of Education, allows parents to personalize the education of their children by directing money toward a combination of programs/therapies. ECAC is approved to accept this scholarship. FESUA can be applied to tuition and therapy costs at ECAC. We recommend that all our families apply for this Florida scholarship by clicking on the link below. At times, there is a waiting list, so it is important to apply now for this upcoming school year. ECAC only accepts FESUA through Step up for Students so please use this link to apply.
