The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) presented a $150,000 check to Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC) on August 6, 2013. This marks the third consecutive year ECAC has been involved with such a wonderful organization. The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation awarded checks totaling $1,375,000 to fourteen local, non-profit children’s organizations. The check presentation ceremony was held outdoors at Churchill Oaks in Santa Rosa Beach.

“Autism affects 1 in every 88 children, these dollars will significantly impact countless children and their families in our local area”, said Executive Director and Co-founder, Staci Berryman. CEO and Co-founder, Heidi Blalock says, “we are so appreciative to Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation for their ongoing support. We are fortunate and blessed to be able to partner with them and we look forward to another fantastic year!”

DCWAF has invited thirteen local children’s charities to participate in the 2013-2014 year, including Emerald Coast Autism Center.

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) was initiated for the purpose of connecting wine enthusiasts and philanthropic-minded citizens in order to raise money for children in need. Founded in 2005, DCWAF has donated more than $4.7 million to Northwest Florida children's charities by hosting world-class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of more than 34,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Learn more at www.dcwaf.org or www.facebook.com/DCWAF.
