Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) gathered representatives from 12 children's charities in Northwest Florida, including Emerald Coast Autism Center (ECAC), September 23, 2014, at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and donated $2.035 million.

According to DCWAF's website, the amount of money donated was a 48 percent increase over their donation in 2013. ECAC received $300,000 in donated funds this year from DCWAF.

"We are so grateful to DCWAF for their ongoing support of ECAC", said Staci Berryman, Executive Director of ECAC. "With DCWAF's generous donation, we are able to provide families with financial support through our scholarship fund and also substantially contribute to our capital campaign, which will allow us to serve more children on the autism spectrum."

The new facility, which will be located on the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College, will not only allow ECAC to increase the number of students served, but will allow ECAC to enhance its services as well. "We are humbled by the generosity of DCWAF and the many ways they support local children in need," said Heidi Blalock, CEO of ECAC.
